ABOUT THE OASIS OF REFRESHING MINISTRIES, INC.

In September of 1998, Bishop Bruce V. Parham, Sr. was called and commissioned by God to establish a church with a vision where thousands of souls would be saved, delivered, and holistically manifest God’s glory, power and purpose. This church was birthed in Wilmington, DE and named “Oasis of Refreshing Ministries” (hereafter “Oasis”).

Oasis is a nondenominational ministry of the Christian faith. It is the headquarters church of the Fresh Fragrance Covenant Fellowship, Inc., of which Pastor Parham is the Founder and Presiding Prelate. The worship services are filled with prayer, praise and proclaiming the word of God with a definite Pentecostal flair.

God allows Oasis to provide a wide range of services to individuals, couples, and families. Under the audacious and humble leadership of Bishop Parham, God motivates Oasis for ministry that caters to people who are spiritually neglected, emotionally deprived and physically in need. Through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, Bishop Parham continues the rich Christian tradition of bringing healing to crushed spirits and changing lives through prophetic teaching and anointed preaching. This life-changing deliverance ministry brings tremendous healing to the scarred, broken and wounded in the Body of Christ.

The meetings of Oasis started with prayer in Pastor Parham’s home. The first worship service took place in the Continental Ballroom in Claymont, DE. Services soon moved to 2600 Tatnall Street, Wilmington, DE. Phenomenal growth in ministry (physically and spiritually) and the desire to further the vision necessitated a larger facility. The Lord supplied what was necessary to meet the need, as only He can. In September of 2000, the ministry was granted the miracle of its own building located at 226 North Broom Street, Wilmington, DE. It is the vision that this facility will enable Oasis to continue to fulfill the calling of God – to be a full-service church that reaches out and ministers to the needs of the church family and the community-at-large. In addition, this facility will be home to numerous community outreach programs as well as a multiplicity of services, including but not limited to: an education and daycare facility, community food bank, summer camps, Vacation Bible School, and a full-service computer lab.

God has favored Oasis over the years, and continues to do so. To remain faithful to and focused on God’s divine plan is the desire of this ministry. Where will we go from here? Only God really knows! Of this we are sure: God has a precise plan and purpose for Oasis, and this Oasis is committed to working together with God to accomplish His will. Already, the Lord has begun to reveal more of His exciting plans for the Oasis of Refreshing Ministries to Pastor Parham, who in turn shares it with this local assembly of the Body of Christ.
